About us
1948
Production starts on the 247 acre family farm located in Salerno (Italy) : artichokes, green beans, strawberries and grapes.
1968
Equity investment in various Italian farms producing white and black grapes for a total of 247 acres in Puglia and 247 acres in Sicily.
1972
Setup of a structure for variety development and commercial development in Europe in cooperation with the Italian institute for agricultural development.
1979
Associative production partnerships in Italy and Germany in order to broaden the seasonal availability and range of produce. Management of production on 1235 acres and of worldwide shipping.
1981
Guido and Pino Del Gaudio set up three distribution platforms in France in order to meet our customers’ needs and demands. Implantation of the head office in France. Creation of a sales office and implantation on the Rungis National Interest Market.
1998
Partnership in Senegal to farm 1334 acres for melon, mango and green bean production. Setup of a pole for produce development.
2000
Pino Del Gaudio becomes CEO. Adaptation of land maintenance and soil protection techniques. Research on new seed development and on experiencing new residue-free products.
2003
Pino Del Gaudio creates 3D Dona, an independent wholesaler specializing in the import and sale of high-quality fresh fruit and vegetables for restaurants in the Parisian Region.
2004
Creation of a platform at the St Charles Market in Perpignan to distribute produce from Morocco in the Eastern European market.
2007
Del Gaudio extends its expertise in production by setting up Sapori d’Italia, a farm located in the Italian province of Salerno. Greenhouse crops cover 296 acres and open field crops 1210 acres. A new 43055 sq feet packing station is a further asset to enhance quality and guarantee customers high-quality produce.
2016
The Del Gaudio group establishes its Del Gaudio Gourmet subsidiary in order to offer our customers top-quality homemade Italian products. The Del Gaudio family’s know-how in selecting excellent Italian produce and its history of working with exceptional producers and partners allow us to offer you the very best.
2017
Del Gaudio decides to diversify its offer by developing an organic range of produce, thus building on the company’s historical commitment to values such as sustainability and high-quality standards at reasonable prices.
